Uh, Lynn, I'm not sure anyone would BUY a cookbook with two recipes in it - both of them for raw juice. I'll save you the first copy though, I promise.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I'm with you, however, thinking that you're going to conquer this with your vital organs - and your vital sense of humor - in tact :) Maybe you'll even go on to publish your amazing Adventist-Hindu-Lent diet book and make millions! Save an autographed copy for me :)

Thanks, Karen, and I am taking milk thistle. Oddly enough, I've been taking it for years, along with a slew of other things that are good for livers and the rest of me. While some might think that this shows that supplements and such don't work, I prefer to think that I would have been history long ago if I hadn't taken the stuff.

I remember that my grandmother started having serious health problems in her 30's, so I'm doing better than she did. I'm sure I'll conquer this and come out the other side with most, if not all, of my vital organs intact.

Wow! I wondered what was happening with you up there at Hawkhill. I suppose all of this has kept you pretty busy lately.

I hope keeping your own liver functioning is the answer for you. If you can avoid major sugery, then it seems worth giving up many things--including butter beans!

Be well!

Well, Jess, it was kind of that way living it, too. I'm glad you found me finally. I guess a rollercoaster is better than a bungee jump. Or a fun house.
